Partida Creus, ‘VN Vinel-Lo Blanco’ 2023 Partida Creus have been natural wine pioneers in the Penedés region since 2001. VN is a skin-contact blend of Garnatxa Blanca, Macabeu, Xarel-lo, Moscatel d'Alexandria, Vinyater, Pansé and Parellada. It’s got tropical notes of lychee and passionfruit as well as a gorgeous jasmine tea aroma and a super lush texture. Pair with a rich raclette (have a fondue party!) or a key lime pie for dessert. Zero sulfites added, tastes great after a night in the fridge. Partida Creus, ‘TN Tinto Natural’ 2022 Next up is a blend of Ull de Llebre, Merlot and Syrah from 30-50 year-old vines. It’s squarely medium-bodied and tastes like ripe red plums plus a dusting of spicy cardamom and black pepper. Pair with any holiday feast— short ribs and polenta? Mushroom Wellington? Zero sulfites added, tastes great after a night in the fridge. Optional Add-on: Matassa, ‘Coume de l’Olla Rouge’ 2024 This is an adventurous co-ferment of Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris and Macabeu from shop favorite natural wine icon Tom Lubbe. It tastes like wild raspberries and aromatic white pepper with a touch of leathery grip. We like this one for apéritif hour with salty olives, cheeses and crackers, but it would also pair well with, and lend some levity to, more substantial holiday meat dishes. Serve chilled. Zero sulfites added, tastes best the day it’s opened.
